A UV galvo is a marking machine that happens to be fast. The projects that suit it are small, detailed, and better when the edge is not burned.
Ideas that fit the field
- Sets of four slate coasters with a name or a one-color map. Start from the slate chart and a jig.
- House numbers on slate or acrylic, kept inside the real field. A 200 mm F2 field is not a yard sign.
- Frosted glass awards and, with the inner lens, crystal cubes. Read glass and crystal before you list a cube you have not focused inside.
- Pet tags and coated cards in metal. Mark them. Do not advertise cutting.
- Acrylic shelf signs for a local shop, in a cast sheet you can reorder.
The buying side of the same question, including when a diode or a fiber is the better tool, is the desktop UV buying guide. Blanks and how to reorder them are in Best UV Laser Blanks to Buy and Sell.
FAQ
Can I run a full-time business on one desktop UV?
